Evaluation Activity 7!
Looking back on your preliminary task what do you feel you have learn't in the progression from it to the full product?
Evaluation Activity 5!
How did you attract/address your audience?

Evaluation Activity 4!
Who would be the audience for your media product?
My media product would vary in terms of audience but one thing for sure is that the majority of the audience would be male.
Heres is a group of friends of mine that i feel would be a main audience for my product. The young man in the middle wasn't fond of the picture i had taken so i photoshopped him out although he was still happy to give me feedback. The main reason i feel they may watch my film is because it links to them in terms of style and interests. It also has a majority of afro-caribbeans in the cast.
These young men are all afro-caribbean and live in the borough of lewisham (the majority in catford). Although they don't do clothes shopping often, they all said they like to shop in retailers like river island, Topman, UNIQLO and other stores in terms of clothing. Some of them work and enjoy spending the money that isn't spent on clothes, on video games for consoles like xbox and ps3.
They all enjoy mainstream hip hop and R'n'B and artists such as Chris Brown or Drake. This music choice is the style of music i have in my product however the music i have used is copyright free music made my people i know who happen to be unsigned at the moment.
Their favourite genre's of films are action, comedy, some comic-book genred films such as the avengers or batman. They made sure they mentioned that they would stay clear from any chick flicks!
Their favourite TV programmes they agreed on were comical shows such as facejacker and other comedy genred programmes on TV around now however they struggled to remember any others.
The last question i asked them was whether they enjoyed gore and violence in the media they watched and they all said yes and also brought up enjoying the gore in films like 'Saw'.
Here is a collage of images i found of middle aged/adult comic book readers.
I feel that my media product may also appeal to some comic-book readers due to its comic-book genred story and features.

Evaluation Activity 3!
What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
INCASE THE VIDEO ISNT CLEAR:
A production company provides the physical basis for works in the realms of the film.
When thinking about a Distributor, I realised that warner bros fit what I was looking for as they owned DC which are known for their comic genre films such a batman which was very useful in terms of relativity.

As I’m working by myself and there wasn’t many actors, it wasn’t easy to figure out names to use for my titles. I watched other opening sequences to figure out the order the titles should be in which helped me. The legit titles are ray and chev starring and me directing.
I would say when looking at it from the production and distribution point of view a film such a paul would be released in a similar way with a british production company who is given a budget from their american distributor.
In terms of genre I would say that warner bros would release a film such as batman or spiderman in a similar way to my film. Also all these films are the type that would definitely have a chance for merchandise whether its costume replicas or action figures.

Evaluation Activity 6!
What have you learn't about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
during the production of my project, the majority of the time my shots were outside which restricted me from being able to use artificial lighting or tamper with the lighting in anyway with lighting equipment but here are images of the equipment i did have.

Equipment i used:
Digital Camera - This wasn't the best camera in the world but it got the footage needed in a good enough condition! It also wasn't complicated to use however it was very automatic which mean't i couldn't do things such as pull focus on it. It wasn't until i had uploaded my footage up onto the mac that i noticed a purple line from the street light down my clips! Also one my final shot, the playback on the camera was smooth however on the mac it became glitchy.
Tripod - To be 100% honest, i'd never used a tripod before so i learn't how to use it during this project! This was an extremely helpful piece of equipment as it allowed me to produce steady shots, pan/tilt efficiently and make sure my shots were not uneven. The features such as tightening the tilt or extending the height of the legs were very useful too.
Headphones - These were useful because they allowed me to hear the footage and check if any audio needed to be deleted.
Macbook - During this project i learn't how useful the programs on a mac are in terms of media. This allowed me to keep updated on my blog, upload VLOGs and experimental videos to youtube, send audio into soundcloud and much more.
Here are the majority of sites i used the most:

Here are the majority of sites i used the most:
Blogger - To post regular updates to my blogspot media blog. I learn't that there were easier ways of creating a blog than making your own webpage from scratch.
IMovie - To edit footage, video logs, experimental shots and test things. I learn't different editing techniques such as 'picture in picture' which was very useful for my titles. however IMovie was beign very difficult and wouldn't let me play back my project in the program which led to me having to export it whenever i wanted to watch it over.
Soundcloud - So i can embed audio i have composed onto my blog.
Slideshare - So i can embed my slideshows.
Garageband - So i can make music and mix different songs. I had difficulty using this at first and figuring out how to change the instrument.
Photoshop - To edit images and also make new images. I learn't how to create a transparent background on any images that i was editing.
Youtube - To upload videos to share them and embed on my blog.
Also, here is an example of how i used Photoshop to produce my titles:
Evaluation Activity 2!
How does your media product represent particular social groups?
In this image, i have put together a split screen of the actor playing spider-man in the new upcoming 'The Amazing Spider-man' and me in the role of 'Shaq' who is the main character of 'The Misanthrope'. This image is a common image in films of the comic-book gender and even possibly of the horror genre too. What i noticed was that both of these characters are teenagers. This shot is a representation of those these male characters being self conscious of themselves. They are also dressed similarly in casual black tee shirts.
A difference between these two is that the character on the right is afro-caribbean whereas the character on the left is caucasian. This could also cause the film to be a representation of afro-Caribbean's as well as teenagers.
This is another split screen of screen grabs. The one on the left is of Kick-Ass' friends and on the right is the group of friends from 'The Misanthrope' and this again shows that my media product would be representing afro-caribbean's aswell as teenagers. The image of the Afro-Caribbeans could give the audience a negative view on them as they look quite intimidating as they are dressed in dark colours and all have hoodies on (one even has it on!). This however is quite a common representation in media unfortunately.
Here is a VLOG on another split screen of stills that i felt represented particular social groups.
Summary of points from the video:
- Still on the right is of main character from 'Super', still on the left is main character of 'The Misanthrope'.
- Both assaulting people in their hero outfits and believe that what they are doing is right.
- Both carry a weapen; Left still carries a Wrench and right still carries a bat.
- Differences are that the Still on the left is a caucasian hero and the Still on the right is an afro caribbean hero which is less common in real media products.
- Another difference is that the still on the left is a middle aged man and the still on the right is a younger teenaged character.
Evaluation Activity 1 !
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
The main inspiration to my final project was 'Kick-Ass', as well as a few other films that helped me overall with my final piece such as 'Hancock' and 'Super'. These all roughly fit into the same genre (Hero/Horror hybrid) of my film in some way or another whether it be due to the violent scenes or the hero concept. I wouldn't say my film only challenged forms and conventions of real media however i would say that in some aspects it did use, develop and challenge real media products. The reason behindd some of my scenes looking extremely similar to those of other films is simply because the genre i have gone for has very common and cliche clips within it for example the self-analysis that many main characters in Superhero films do. However i have made sure these ideas have been tampered with to make them my own.
I print screened 9 different parts of my opening sequence and placed them together on one canvas in photoshop to give a general idea and representation of my project:
For the title of my film, i went with the common 'comicbook hero' stereotype of all hero names starting with the definite article 'The'. Examples of this are The Green hornet, The Green lantern, The Dark Knight, The Flash, The Green Arrow etc ( I could go on for days!). After that i had to think of a name for the main character's alter-ego superhero personality. I went through a few names for example The Villan, The Teen, The Loner but then i decided i would go with 'The Misanthrope'. The main reason i had gone with this name was because Misanthrope isn't a word that you often hear day to day which is good when naming a film. The meaning of a Misanthrope is someone who hates the human species and disgusts the human race. So for the title of my film i used the conventions of real media products.
Settings/Location
In terms of the settings of my opening sequence, i would say that i had used the forms of real media products. This is due to the opening scene of the school environment and education, being one that is common throughout quite a few hero based films. This is mainly because the characters are normally in their teenage years for example Spiderman and Kick-Ass. In terms of the dark road scene, i developed the common perception of Heros going out at night in the busy rural areas and instead made it a quiet road where there was nothing but an innocent by passer.
Costumes and Props
The costumes throughout my opening sequence were quite simple. The costuming of the 3 friends were quite intimidating as one had their hood up although i didn't make the hoodies a main aspect of my project as i know examiners hate it! The costume design of my main character is also very simple in the beginning scene where he is not identified and we cannot see his face. However, his costume gets a little more interesting in the next scene when he is on the dark road. His full body suit and mask is a form i used from many real media products as the majority of heros have a tight suit on with a mask however, i developed this idea by giving him a more teenage approach with the cap on and the trainers. I would say that i slightly challenged the conventions of real media products by not using a cape in his costume. In terms of props, the main prop i used was the bat wielded by my superhero. At first i did not plan on having a weapon however after looking at my influences, i noticed that both Kick-Ass and Super wielded weapons. I used this idea and gave my character a bat. I chose a bat because it is stereotypical of teenagers to be sporty and athletic.
How the story is set up by the Opening
I Challenged the form of real media products in terms of the way in which the story is set up by the opening. In the beginning of most films of this genre the audience are given more insight to the main character and are also shown the main characters identity and face immediately. Ways in which i challenged this was through going straight into the action and second personality within the first 2 minutes of my film. I also didn't show my main characters face until right at the end of my opening sequence which was something that isn't done in the majority of hero films or in any of my influences. The characters that are around throughout the film would have been the main friends at the beginning who were in the school. They were introduced immediately through conversing over the main character.
Titles, Fonts and editing.
I used the form of real media products in my opening sequence slightly with the editing and sticking to the colour theme of the Hero's costume. I also stuck to the legendary font used by almost all comics! The font was something that had to be done in order to help convey the right genre to the audience. My titles were a way in which i challenged real media products of this genre as i had not ( in my influences or in any other film i had watched) seen an opening with titles on comicbook text boxes.

How i Presented the Genre
I didn't struggle with presenting my genre however i took a different approach to it than my influences. I used the classic comicbook text boxes in my opening sequence to show the titles of my film which should have given the audience a sense of the genre. This shows the way in which i have challenged the common forms of my genre. I had the idea of doing the classic convention of the main character with a voice over which would have been me using real media products, but i didn't feel it would fit in with the main characters anti social representation.

My Final Project !

- Overall feedback i received was positive.
- People enjoyed the titles and sound.
- The Camera i used wasn't very good quality which caused the camera to jump towards the end.
- The opening plot was said to have not been clear enough.

Finishing touches !
The deadline for our final pieces is in around 3 days time.
Seen as i have practically finished the editing and titles on my opening sequence, i have now moved onto putting in my production logo. To go with the theme of my project, i had planned on adding a 'Marvel' production company intro to the beginning of my opening sequence, however after doing research i found out that they were very strict when it came to use of their logo and copyright issues.Instead of 'Marvel' I went for the BETTER comic-book producers; DC. DC are are owned by Warner Bros. which means i plan on trying to import the intro into the beginning of my opening sequence. At first, i wanted to go with the classic warner bros logo but then i began to research into other themed ones produced by the company and narrowed it down to three.
I used Quicktime screen record to record each intro from youtube however it doesn't pick up audio therefore i will need to record the audio of whichever one i pick seperately.

Filming and Editing Update !
FILMING
in term of filming, I had managed to film my last piece of footage around a week ago. I had finished before then, but in order to get a better grade i acknowledged the errors i spoke about in my vlog and tended to them by re filming the whole scene. I used my own camera instead of sirs higher quality camera due to another group needing to use it which i don't think is a problem at all.
EDITING
In todays lesson I begin editing properly. I decided to use my comic book transition idea, and use it for the actual titles instead. I created this with Adobe Photoshop using shape tools and a downloaded font from www.1001freefonts.com which was convenient. Sir also gave me the idea to add comic book popups like 'BAM!' on the contact scenes such as the hit with the bat. I feel that this was a good editing session where i became clearer with what i wanted to achieve however iMovie 11 wasn't being very co-operative ! for example it wouldn't playback the clips i needed to view to see if my titles were in the correct places.

Audio and Sound effects update !

In terms of sound effects the majority of these will be obtained from garageband or if necessary i plan to film in the school corridors and use the audio of noisy kids in my scene set in the school environment.

Second Shooting Session.
This is a review on my second shooting session that i managed to do in the half term and get a good number of shots for.
Things that didn't go well:
Things that didn't go well:
- Lighting; it was way too dark and i didn't expect it to be that way.
- Many clips were lost or not recorded correctly.
- The settings on the camera made an automatic light turn on the front of it.

Half Term Update.
two days ago i managed to get the main shots for my opening sequence shot however for some of these shots i wasn't able to take any many takes as i would of possibly liked to due to camera battery life. I plan on filming the shot that i previously done experimental stills for today then i should be done filming unless i see something that i feel must be filmed again and done better.

Experimental Angles for my Final Scene.
For my final scene i planned on having the character shown in front of the camera and in the mirror. I wasn't sure how this would work so i got my tripod and camera out and tested this shot by taking still images so i could see the placement of everything in the shot. I put together a few of the images i obtained in a quick video.

Misc en scene idea - Costume.
In terms of costuming for my opening sequence, the majority is normal casual wear apart from my seene of Shaq dressed in his superhero outfit. In my research i came to the conclusion that it was ok and made more sense for his costume to look home made and cheap because most other superhero's at one point did too for exampe Spidermans first costume.
Another hero who is very similar to the one in my project is Kick-Ass who we can see from the picture is wearing timberland boots with his costume which gave me the idea to wear casual vans with mine. As well as the film 'Super' giving me the idea for my hero to wield a weapon due to him having a wrench, Kick-Ass did too with his batons that he holds on his back. This gave me the idea to use a bat (which isn't anything too threatening) and mount it on my back.
Here is the Costume i managed to put together:

First shooting Session.
Due to me not being able to get my schedules scanned in and placed onto my blog they have been delayed however i do plan to get the posted on her as soon as possible.
I have started filming and today i done my first shooting session for my opening sequence. Here are a few of the clips obtained.
I have started filming and today i done my first shooting session for my opening sequence. Here are a few of the clips obtained.
Points about each Take:
Establishing Shot 1 - Once i had panned down the building and got to the window, the camera was shown in the reflection along with myself.
Establishing Shot 2 - The camera was not steady at all.
Establishing Shot 3 - I feel that this edited and slowed down would be the best of all 3 as it was a nice clean pan from top to bottom of the sixth form block. This is the take i plan on using.
Take 1 - The actors had not realised that the camera had started recording which was a fault on behalf of the camera man for not counting down or saying action.
Take 2 - My actors forgot that they were participating in my media project which would be better off without any bad language where not needed.
Take 3 - Kunmi was blocking the cameras vision of me in this shot.
Take 4 - Students from our school happened to have been walking through the gate at this time and also Fred was cut out of the video in this shot.
Take 5 - I feel this take went very well out of all 5. This is the Take i plan on using.
Due to the likely hood of this scene only being around 10 seconds long, i feel that i may have to add in another scene if it becomes necessary.

My Animated Storyboard.
After finally completing my drafts of my storyboard i continued doing research which caused me to edit my ideas and portray these new ideas in this new Animated Storyboard. This took me a while due to having drawn two images per A4 paper and scanning each sheet in to try and be sure it would be in good quality.
Here is an example:
Once I had scanned in each sheet i edited each image to make the lines darker and increase the contrast. This is my Animated Storyboard without sound.

Shooting Schedule.
This is my delayed shooting schedule. This was delayed due to me not having access to a scanner to scan in my piece of paper with my schedule on it.
Im not sure whether my judgement of time is correct as i have only given myself an hour and a half to film ALL of my footage which thinking about it now, is not enough time. I'd say it would take an extra hour on top of the total amount of time i have predicted.
Also my Descriptions were quite vague. In more detail, my first shooting session is of the main character 'Shaq' being called for by his friends, one of them being 'Gerald'. They wanted to know whether he was going out when them that night hence why 'Shaq' was getting phone calls from Gerald later that day.

Animated Storyboard.
With regards to my animated storyboard, i am in the process of trying to completely redraw some scenes due to a vast majority of scenes and shots being adjusted in the progress of research. I hope to have my completed animated storyboard up soon.
Music and Audio Ideas.
In terms of music for my opening sequence, i feel that this is where i should be on more of the horror aspect. However, this is difficult due to copyright laws therefore i feel it would be safer to go for instrumentals or musicians i know. An instrumental that came to mind immediately was an old song from a long time ago that i used to find really eerie which i feel should still be quite eerie.

However when checking out this video i read a comment noting that this had already been used in a film which halted my plans of incorporating it in my piece. I covered out the users name to avoid any issues that it may have caused.
Another option of music was a song by an unsigned artist i know who gave me permission to use his song in my media project. The reason i am tempted to use this song is because from my opinion it sounds quite dark and this is also portrayed through his video and the effects it is edited with.

The trailer for 'Super'.
In my previous lesson, sir mentioned to me that there was a film released around a year or two ago called 'Super' with a character who turns himself into a superhero. Watching the trailer made me realise that it was quite similar to my idea in ways such as it was a hybrid of genres due to its gore and comedy, 'hero' having no powers and cliche superhero voice over! Here is the trailer :
At 1:05 of this clip (The 'crack' on the characters head), it presented the idea in my head of adding comic book like features into my project.
I had read an article on how comic books are written (which isn't completely relevant) but i was using this to increase my knowledge on how comic book textual transitions (captions) are composed. Here is a screenshot of the article and a few examples of captions i have produced that i may put over my opening sequence.
This film has made me think that maybe instead of brute force and use of hands, my character should have a weopen at hand in the same manner that he has a wrench. I also had a look at the opening sequence of this film however it was 100% animation which was of no use to me but here it is anyway.
Screenplay
I wrote out my screenplay of my opening sequence on the application 'Pages'. I added an extra scene to the end of kay in the bathroom to show an interior scene in my opening sequence.
Storyboard - Second Draft
This is my second draft of my previous storyboard and i have edited my shots and story in minor ways that feel may make a difference to my final piece for example in my first storyboard i had both victim and murderer interacting and dancing together then the victim being killed all in the short space of two minutes which was quite a short time to make such a drastic change in genre (from comical to horror). Although this is the hybrid of genres my film consists of, 2 minutes is too short to convert from one to the other in.

My Storyboard - First Draft.
This is my first draft of my storyboard which was mainly for me to get my ideas down on paper before they had been forgotten. Doing more than one storyboard allows for me to make slight changes towards my opening sequence and shots in them.

Opening Sequence Shot Idea.
There was a snippet from a clip i watched that gave me an idea for when i begin filming my opening sequence. I had drawn this idea out on my storyboard which i plan to soon have uploaded, but this gives a more visual image of how i would like this shot to turn out.
This 10 second clip expresses the exact shot i wanted to get on my 6th shot. In my version, it is a shot of my main character and is a point of view shot of a victim looking at him from toe to head.
(The tilt of the head and wave will also be displayed in my piece however the full body suit hides the face which doesn't allow me to reveal the eerie smile!)

Title Ideas for My Film.
The naming of hybrid films can be quite difficult as the name can't be one to give away the genres as there are more than one. During research i did however notice that a large percentage of comic's / superheros began with the definite article 'the'.
This led me to thinking that i should produce a title consisting of the word 'the'. As my main character is a very anti social character who dislikes people / humans (which is described as a misanthrope), i feel that he should be named after this trait and called The Misanthrope as a title name.
Other Ideas i brainstormed were:

Other Ideas i brainstormed were:
- Discombobulated - This word means confused and represents the emotions of my main character as he feels what he is doing is right whereas it is the complete opposite.
- The Villainous Hero - In this title i presented the irony of a hero who does bad things.

'Kizzy Tigre' Production Logo - With Sound.
Now that i have composed my sound i have also put it onto my production Intro along side my logo. I feel that it has worked very well in order of timing.
I feel that if at any time i feel i may need to adapt my audio composition this will not be an issue.
In my own research i had noticed that the majority of film companies had very irrelevant names to them for example GK productions, partizan films, river road entertainment and many more. This allowed me to come to terms with not needing to spend an extreme amount of time on naming my company.

Audio For Production Intro.
researching and finding out that a lot of Production Intros consist of music i set out on a mission to find some music of my own. This was difficult as i didn't want anything that had already been copyrighted due to copyright laws. I then began to produce my own short composition. After checking the time scale of my Production Intro i matched that up with the amount of time my composition would last in 'Garageband'.

Putting together each individual beat for a final product. |
This is the final product of my intro soundtrack. My reasoning behind the beginning and ending not sounding smoothened are due to the soundtrack being longer than the visual which allowed for trimming to take place on the audio.
In my composition i incorporated a Horror sounding melody so that my music wasn't irrelevant to my movie or my Production Logo and i also made sure that there was at least a soft drum beat (which i could of made much harder but chose not too as i tried it and it diluted out the horror melody) in the background which would appeal to most teenagers.
Big Production Company Intros.
As i have gotten to the stage at which i have completed my visual aspect of my Production Logo and moving onto the sound aspect, i decided it was time i done some extra research on the Production companies intros i hadn't already seen which were most likely to be independent film production companies which adds range to my research.
This 5 and a half minute clip of back to back production companies should me that the vast majority of intros consist of music whether it be gentle or more lively. The rest all had some feature of sound in them whether it was a sound effect but none had JUST visuals with no sound which is helpful to know. This tells me that sound or a 10 minute piece of music is an essential to my Production Companies intro.
Review on Mark Ramey's article.
To be Honest, I'm glad i read this article because not only was it helpful in terms of my blog but also slightly comical!
In my opening sequence i was contemplating whether to film an indoor (corridor) scene however now i am 100% that is not the right way to go and i now understand why; due its lack of creativity and originality. On my incomplete storyboard i noted a fade out to black, which now that i have red the 'predictable black' from the article i feel i may change to a fade out of another colour that may have more meaning in the context of my opening sequence.
Taking into account that in this article i didn't read anything about superhero ideas it has allowed me to see that i have quite a unique idea that i am going with which should balance out for the obvious horror factor of my film idea.
Reading that the 'substitute exercise' is something that most examiners would like as it in a way 'breaks the rules' is good news! In a way i am doing this in my project through having a superHERO who thinks he is doing right when in actual fact he is doing the complete opposite.
This article had been helpful and managed to engrave into my mind that Bloopers, hoodys and corridors are bad bad bad news for any media project !

This is my initial production logo. It is not fully complete as i haven't added sound to it at this point.
Creation of my Production intro - Small Breakdown.
This is my Production Company intro which I will be editing soon to add sound to it. This is a small breakdown of the stages in which it took me to produce this intro.

Target Audience.
I'm beginning to get the impression that my film may be a hybrid of genres, varying from comical (heroes), horror and comedy.
This film mainly targets the male audience due to the lack of emotions (which is favoured by the females) and an extraordinary amounts of killing. This would be aimed at males aged under 25 as they (stereotypically speaking) love gore and fighting / killing scenes, as well as the superhero references. This is also a reason why males aged into their mid 20s, may enjoy this film due to their comic book reading childhoods !
I feel that this film idea doesn't target the stereotypical female due to all the superhero (comic book) references which is said to be more of a masculine hobby. Also females tend not to be fond of violence and gore which is something incorporated into the horror side of this movie.
Gore and violence are normally seen with mainstream horrors for example the 'Saw' movies however due to the hybrid of genres and comic book references which do not appeal to all viewers, this film would be considered a slightly lower budgeted co-production.
Although these comic references would be considered a big part of the film for example even shown through camera shots, i doubt they would fly over any viewers heads.

This Prezi presents the idea in which i drew out on paper in order to figure out which ideas i should keep and which i should dispose of.

Influences: Kick-Ass
I wasn't able to find the whole of the Kick- Ass opening scene but this clip is enough for me to show what it have been influenced by.
Kick - Ass is a film based off of the Marvel Comic. I feel that the commentary over the clip from the main character, like narration, is a good asset to a film that consists of 'Superheros' and is something i plan to incorporate into my opening sequence.
Influences: Hancock
Although this clip has quite terrible quality,i feel that it is enough to give off the jist of this opening.
Hancock is a comedy drama and the reason in which i am interested in this opening sequence is due to the superhero reference. Hancock is more of a comically superhero film whereas mine is more horror however, both films would have similar target audiences. Due to not being a full on Superhero Action / Drama this film influences my opening sequence and gives me ideas on what visual elements should be incorporated when i am filming.
To begin with this film starts with production company's intros and others who helped in the production of the movie and then the movie title 'HANCOCK'. This is all shown while a high paced country soundtrack is played in the background and follows onto the first clip of a car chase involving the police and helicopters.
Next we are shown a pan of Hancocks body from toe to head while he sleeps on a bench, then a short take of bottles of alcohol on the floor next to him. The cop chase is edited parallel to Hancock to show that they are part of the same story.
We are then shown Hancock approached by a young boy alerting him of 'bad guys'. In this first scene it is immediately revealed to us that Hancock is not the nicest of characters and is then called an 'ass hole' by what looked to be an innocent boy which is very mainstream humour which fits in well with the genre of this film.
Although this is more of a comedy than a horror, this influences my opening sequence and gives me the idea of possibly doing all the production credits first like in Hancock.
My Moodboard.
This is my mood board that i produced containing my ideas for my opening sequence.
On my mood board i incorporated two words; Murder and confusion. Confusion, because in my idea my main character is anti social and mentally believes he is in the right whilst everyone else around him are evil villains. The Murder concept is due to him killing those who he feels are villains. This idea of villains was shown by the picture of the joker on the mood board.
The picture in the middle of the kids in school shows one boy standing away from the others to present my idea of an anti social character who doesn't like the people he is around in his everyday school life. The image of 'Kick-Ass' represents the comics from marvel which were about a teenage boy with no powers but who was a hero. This comic was very gory as i would like my opening sequence / film is, hence the blood splatter.
The body suit is an idea i gathered for my main character to wear when he thinks he is a superhero and also the 'idance' image is to convey my characters habit of dancing while fighting villains (murdering people).
